Premier Beverages is a member of the ADL Group of Companies which consists of the Antigua Distillery Limited, the parent company and Montpellier Estates Limited. Our Roots. The Antigua Distillery Limited, producer of the famous Cavalier and English Harbour Antigua Rums, as well as the #1 water brandin Antigua, Oasis Water, was founded in 1932 and is the oldest surviving manufacturer on the island and one of the older distilleries in the Caribbean. Montpellier Estates Limited oversees the development of 1800 acres of land owned by the Company in the southeast of the island. The Company is carrying out successful brand management and distribution for international and local brands and boasts an extensive Wine, Liquor, and Beverage selection. Premier Beverages is one of the leading beverage suppliers to the Hotel and Hospitality Industry. Sales Structure. The sales function into two divisions, Wines and Liquor/Beverages. The Wine Sales Division is staffed by two specialists. The Liquor/Beverages Division is headed by a Sales Manager. Under the Sales Manager there are 5 key account salespersons each having responsibility for brands. In addition, route sales are handled by three vehicles. Merchandising is carried out by two Merchandisers who report to the Sales Manager. The sales team service the On-Trade, the Off-Licences, Petrol Stations, and Key Accounts. Our aim is to serve 100% of the beverage trade on the island and we currently service over 1000 customers ranging from large hotels to street vendors. We are also the leading provider of bottled water on the island, ranging from packaged sizes to the 5-Gallon returnable bottles for the home-office delivery (HOD) market. Sales and distribution are handled through a fleet of 3 delivery trucks dedicated to this market. All our water products are sold under the Oasis Purified Water brand, which is considered by local consumers to be the water of choice. We are also the leading provider of beverage dispensing systems for juice, coffee and fruit slushes (Granita) to hotels and larger restaurants on the island. Marketing & Promotion. Marketing & Promotion are the responsibility of the individual Salespersons and are planned and executed by them and the sales team. The Company, along with The Antigua Distillery is also a major sponsor for a number of important internationalevents including the Annual Sailing Week Regatta of which we are a Gold Sponsor, the Annual Charter Boat Show, Antigua Sportfishing Tournaments and Antigua Carnival. Distribution. Distribution is handled through a new, purpose-built 15,000 square feet warehouse facility which was commissioned in May 2005. Within this facility there is chilled storage for over 8,000 cases of wine, as well as larger bonded facilities. Receipt, storage, and picking/packing of orders are handled electronically through a Warehouse Management System which ensures 99% pick accuracy and greater throughput in order picking and delivery, a first in Antigua & Barbuda. Our service fleet include three Route vehicles and six Delivery vehicles, which are all owned by the Company. The Company contracts additional delivery vehicles as needed. The Company also operates a Duty-Free outlet in the Departure Lounge at the International Airport. It also operates a Retail outlet (Premier Cru) at its distribution facility in St. John’s, the capital.
