Dr. Sutton has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree from St. Francis Xavier University, Nova Scotia, Canada and completed medical training at the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, Jamaica, qualifying with a MBBS degree in medicine and surgery.   He ended his post as House Officer in the Neonatology Department at Mount Hope Maternity Hospital, Trinidad, to return to his native St. Kitts as a District Medical Officer with the Government of St. Kitts & Nevis, and for several years he managed such chronic conditions as arthritis, diabetes, and congestive heart failure; serious infections as dengue fever, leptospirosis, viral hepatitis, and sexually transmitted diseases; and he worked hard to stem the spread of HIV/ AIDS in West Basseterre.   He also looked after the various medical complaints of sugar cane workers, as Medical Officer, St. Kitts Sugar Manufacturing Corporation for St. Peters and Cayon districts.   He attended daily to new-born babies, and responded to medical emergencies on weekends at the J. N. France Hospital.   Dr. Sutton continued his passion for treating patients in Anguilla at the Farrington Medical Centre for over a decade and was “well known for quickly getting sick people back on their feet.”    His practice was considered innovative - offering 24-hour emergency service, a mobile emergence unit, and Medivac capability.   After leaving Anguilla, Dr. Sutton transitioned into clinical research for the development of new medicines for unmet medical needs including cancer, leukemia, lymphoma, HIV/AIDS, diabetes and the debilitating metabolic condition of HIV-associated lipodystrophy.   Dr. Sutton now wishes to contribute his extensive experience in the medical treatment of patients to Antiguans who seek his expertise.
