Who We Are
Established on 23rd June- 1966, Marics and Company Limited became the sole distributor for Honda products in Guyana. In 2011, Marics experienced new owners, with a new management team, who restructured the original business model to better suit our customers and the company.
Today, we supply a diverse line of eco-friendly Power Products, vehicles, ATVs and motorcycles. We also stock a large inventory of spares and promote reliable after sales services.
At Marics, we believe in offering exceptional customer service and value our customer’s feedback which will aid in further building and promoting the Honda brand. We are optimistic that the Honda brand will continue to succeed in our local market due to its durability, innovation and technological achievements.

Owned by Xavier Ribot and Ruth McFarlane, the French influence is visible in the range of Gourmet products you can find in store. Xavier Ribot, also a renowned Chef, is known for his excellent French Caribbean Cuisine. Ruth McFarlane is the Managing Director of Admac ltd. the islands premier food distributor for over 20 years.
Since its opening in 2007, MariGourmet has been an antidote for sailors and tourists alike who desperately wanted the services of a supermarket without having to taxi from their yachts or hotel rooms. We supply all food and beverage items, including wines and rums. Our product range is constantly expanding, whether from customer requests and suggestions or our dedication to finding new and exciting foods items.
Almost all meals include cheese of some sort, the French use Cheese as a main course; the Italians include cheese in all parts of their meals, from antipastos to deserts: try imagining a Greek salad without Feta. At Marigourmet you are sure to find flavors and aromas you desire and something to pair with every part of your meal.
When you wander our isles, you are bound to find what you need amongst our condiments, snacks, pastas, ice creams, juices, local rums and beers, chocolates and fresh fruits and vegetables just to name a few. If we’re missing something, let us know, we will be happy to get it.
We offer you the sailor the added service of bringing your provisions to you. After selecting your items please let us know whether you would like them delivered. Need advice on preparing a meal, choosing that perfect steak or finding the catch of the day? Whatever your cooking needs Chef Xavier will be more than happy to assist you.
